RightPrice is a peer-based pricing software product operated by Gus Neill, trading as RightPrice, based in Sydney, Australia. References to "RightPrice", "we", "us", or "our" in this policy mean Gus Neill trading as RightPrice.
Our website is tryrightprice.com. Our authenticated application is available at app.tryrightprice.com. For privacy questions, contact us at gus@tryrightprice.com.
What information we collect
We collect personal information only where necessary to provide our service or respond to your enquiry.
From our website (tryrightprice.com):
- Email address — when you submit the homepage email form to express interest in RightPrice
- Name, company, role, phone number, and pricing challenge — when you complete the "Book a Demo" form
From our application (app.tryrightprice.com):
- Account credentials — email address and password for login
- Transaction data — business sales data you upload for pricing analysis. This data is processed on your behalf and stored securely in our database
- Usage data — pages accessed, features used, and actions taken within the application (not tied to individual behaviour tracking tools)
How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiry and arrange a demonstration of RightPrice
- To provide, operate, and improve the RightPrice service
- To run pricing analysis on the transaction data you provide
- To send service-related communications (e.g. analysis completion, account updates)
- To comply with our legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your information for unsolicited marketing beyond responding to your original enquiry.
Third-party services
We use third-party service providers to operate RightPrice. Each handles data in accordance with their own privacy policies.
- Website hosting — our public website is hosted by a third-party provider. Website form submissions are processed by that provider and data may be stored internationally.
- Application and database hosting — our authenticated application and associated data are hosted by third-party cloud infrastructure providers. Your data is stored in Australia.
- AI services — we use third-party AI providers to generate pricing insights. Any data passed to these providers is anonymised before transmission. The specific provider may vary over time; all are required to handle data in accordance with applicable privacy laws.
- Google Fonts — loads fonts used on our site. Your browser makes a request to Google's servers when visiting.
Cookies and local storage
Our public website (tryrightprice.com) does not set tracking cookies.
Our application (app.tryrightprice.com) sets a single session cookie that keeps you logged in. We also store minimal account information in your browser to personalise your dashboard view. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies are used.
Data retention
We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide the service or comply with legal obligations. If you close your account or request deletion, we will remove your personal information from active systems within 30 days, unless retention is required by law.
Website enquiry data (email, name, company) is retained until you request deletion or 24 months after your last interaction with us, whichever is sooner.
Your rights
Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and applicable privacy principles, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate or out-of-date information
- Request deletion of your personal information
- Withdraw consent for us to hold or use your information
